vitamins, which are rich in antioxidants, and minerals make the peach one of the foods that is perfect for a healthy heart. The antioxidant effect of the vitamins A, C, and E maintains the arteries in good health by preventing arteriosclerosis, while supplying the heart with vital nutrients.
Peaches contain B vitamins which assist the cells in the heart muscles to contract. Potassium and magnesium helps the heart to maintain a normal, strong, rhythmic heartbeat.

Grapes contain many nutritious properties which make them an ideal food for cardiac diseases. These properties include: provitamin A, Vitamin B1, B2, B3, vitamin C, and vitamin E; potassium; iron; fiber; flavonoids (powerful antioxidants which prevents the oxidation of cholesterol that causes arteriosclerosis, and decrease clot formation in the arteries); resveratrol (slows the progress of arteriosclerosis); and anthocyanidines – vegetable pigments found in grape skins which prevent coronary heart disease.
Several researchers have found that grape juice (especially from concorde grapes) provide all the cardio-protective factors found in wine but without the negative effects of alcohol. According to Pamplona-Roger (2006), “unfermented grape juice contains the same cardio-protective substances found in wine, but in higher concentrations and without the drawback of ethyl alcohol. Additionally, grapes and grape juice provide energy-producing sugars and vitamins that wine lacks.”
