Treatment of Uterine Fibroids Naturally

Uterine Fibroids are benign tumors that affect a large percentage of women.  There are a variety of treatment options available, including natural remedies to alleviate this condition.

Most often, uterine fibroids do not require radical or invasive treatment.  Treatments such as a hysterectomy may be called for in some cases, but is not a first method of treatment in the vast majority of cases.  Uterine fibroids may affect as many as 75% of women during their lifetimes, and are not life threatening unless serious bleeding occurs.

If the uterine fibroids are not causing any particular symptoms, no treatment is necessary.  Some suggest a specialized diet may help in the treatment and prevention of fibroids.  This includes a high fiber, whole food diet with plenty of raw vegetables (especially dark green) and fruit.   While these dietary guidelines have not undergone stringent testing, a natural diet full of whole grains and fresh vegetables can not hurt.

Early research is also being conducted into the relationship between obesity and uterine fibroids.  It is speculated that extra weight causes and increase in size and number of overall uterine fibroids.  If this early research holds true, losing weight could be an easy, effective, and all natural treatment for uterine fibroids.  View article source.
